When I was Head Boy at school I served with two Head Girls! One was the daughter of a local Baptist minister. When Theresa May became Prime Minister, it flanked the same time as my younger brother’s retirement from a very successful teaching career in Theresa May’s constituency. In the same time Alistair Brownlee helped his brother Jonny over the finishing line in the Mexico Triathlon. On the 14th March 1962 our beloved Mother, Theresa took her own life as a direct result of racial prejudice. Ten years later our great Father, Francis died on the 12th March 1972. Since our family tragedy, it has inspired me to a simple conclusion that racial prejudice is ‘white supremacy’ at its most ugly and distasteful. But at its most profound it gave to the world Great Art and Great Science which created the entire fabric of Western Civilisation allied to Christianity. The configuration of events lead me to the Prime Minister, and how it affects Brexit is addressed to the Queen. The two Head Girls allude to these two constitutional figures, whilst I was at school as the Head Boy to allude to myself as Joseph 77.
The elder Brownlee helping his younger brother over the finishing line is a metaphor, (as are the other events in my life) of my brother’s successful career in the Theresa May’s constituency to help me get to my finishing ie to bring my findings inspired of the manner of our mother’s death to the Queen and the Prime Minister on the eve of Brexit.
